Thank you for looking at my website
Wisdenworldcom was launched in early 2006 because as a collector of Wisdens I had become increasingly frustrated by the variation in prices and quality offered by sellers and the condescending take it or leave it attitude some sellers have.
After nearly three years it is apparent that other collectors feel the same way.
The bottom line to Wisdenworldcom is that I sell wisdens. I try and sell them at a reasonable price and I try and be as honest as possible in my descriptions. I also have a simple guideline for anyone who buys from me, If upon receiving the Wisden you are not happy, return it and I will refund you completely plus your return postage. It is important that you are happy with your purchase.
Cricket is a game of facts, figures, statistics. I believe Wisdens completely capture the cricket-lovers need for information. I have lost count of the amount of times I have picked up an edition to check a score or particular match detail and two hours later, I am still engrossed. I believe certain Wisden sellers take advantage of our desire to collect!
I also find the price and quality differentiation to be so great. For instance there were six 1959 Hardback editions being offered (26 October 2008) by five different dealers ranging from "good" to "near fine" and the prices started at £80 and ended at £97.50. I know they all have overheads, but a degree of consistency would help! I would also say that there are some very very good dealers around whom, in my humble opinion, actually care about what and to whom they are selling.
One other thing, it seems at the moment that there is a still a shortage of WW2 and pre WW2 Hardbacks. I have all from 1940-45, all Hardback and hopefully all at less cost than elsewhere, but the same or better quality!.
All my stock is not listed, I do work full time and updating the catalogue is difficult sometimes. Feel free to have a look around. I do not mind anyone telephoning me for a chat, advice or an order enquiry, my numbers are 01480 810416 or 07966 513171
My stock really is constantly changing so please contact me if you do not see what you are looking for. This is not a trick on my behalf to entice you to contact me. For instance since October 13 2008, 110 Wisdens have arrived in stock, a fair few are sold before they arrive and although I will try and list as many as possible time is always the enemy.
